Alexandre Lillo is a professor in the Département des sciences juridiques at UQAM and a member of the Institut des sciences de l’environnement. His main research and teaching interests are in public law, environmental law and international environmental law, with a particular focus on water and climate change issues. His research also focuses on post-growth movements and pedagogy as a tool for socio-ecological transition.
He holds a PhD in law from the University of Ottawa and the University of Montpellier. His previous positions include postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Public Law for the Forum on Water Law and Governance at the University of Ottawa, assistant director of the Centre for Environmental Law and Global Sustainability, and co-holder of the Chaire de recherche en innovation pédagogique at the University of Ottawa.
