He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the NEME Chair at Laval University between 2023 and 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles&#8217; expertise lies in environmental law, particularly climate change law, as well as the regulation of the environmental impact of private actors in a context of multilevel governance. His doctoral thesis focused on the legal issues related to climate technology transfer in the wake of the adoption of the Paris Climate Agreement. His postdoctoral research project then examined the implementation of corporate climate disclosure rules and their interaction with international public law standards and mechanisms.
